Tobias Richardson our current Artist-in-Residence has been based at the CAAS Art Shed the past month making a new body of work.

Join us for morning tea this Saturday from 10.30am for an artist’s talk and exhibition preview.artback-ntinvite1For those that can’t make it this weekend or would like to engage further, Tobias will host an Open Studio on Tuesday and Wednesday next week between 10am and 4pm. See you there!

Member Emma Stuart: Hidden Arrernte Exhibition opens Araluen 1st April

Friday the 1st April will be a busy evening for our members and the art community of Alice. Deborah Clarke’s exhibition opens at 5P (details in a post below) closely followed by Emma’s Hidden Arrernte at 6P. A busy night for many! You cannot choose, so you will just have to go to both Openings! They are a short walk apart. Enjoy a wonderful evening.

Announcing member Deborah Clarke’s exciting new Exhibition …

The exhibition opening 5PM Friday 1st April at Central Craft traces Deborah’s playful engagement with plants over some years. From textiles dyed with a plant based brew on the campfire, to delicately drawn tracings of plant shadows cast by the sun, and more recently to hand made paper using native grasses, each process involves a combination of art, science and serendipity.
