Michael Flatt

There are three main things I can think of about the pictures I take. The first is that I see something and my response is “oh look at that”. It’s a show and tell. The second is to try and convey a sense of place. To capture the essence of what stands out for me when I am in a place. The third is to convey my sense that everything is alive, that we are bathed in life rather than being containers of life. This tends to show itself in the appearance of faces and creatures within nature. I just cannot resist a good Deva or spirit. It is probably why I read a lot of fantasy novels. I also love pattern and texture.
